Wearing a belt over outerwear isn’t a new trend this winter, but I’ve been wanting to find one slouchy enough for a boyfriend coat that would also stay in place (without being too stiff). I ended up borrowing this one from my old thrifted velvet jacket and realized that even a thick ribbon would have worked as well… just the right amount of detail that still keeps the focus on the coat.
