eye on: art pop
I’ve had Gaga in my head all weekend, so don’t be surprised by the title but the colorful look of her album got me thinking about the colorful, art inspired pieces from the SS14 runway. For example, the CĂ©line prints (below) were beyond amazing and clearly beyond my budget:
I really don’t have a ton of prints in my wardrobe as I usually love my neutral and monochrome outfits… but this season I’ve fallen in love with a few pieces that are bold but totally wearable (and affordable). Check them out below:
1. Dress
High neck, powder blue, evil eye- I need this dress.
2. Blouse
Zara never fails. The cut and print of this blouse is perfect.
3. Boyfriend tee
The watercolor inspo is amazing on this tee and I also like it paired with the matching shorts for a kicked-back vibe.
4. Scarf
If I buy any scarf for spring, it’s square-shaped and neckerchief ready… and I’m loving this mustard yellow print.
5. Long blouse
If you couldn’t already tell, I have a thing for long blazers and coats… and long blouses are no different. I would also wear this unbuttoned as a lightweight layer.
6. Top
I’m digging the black and white look of these major brush strokes…bold without being overboard.
