Best Ways to Follow New York Fashion Week

It’s officially September which means it’s the height of fashion season, yay! While most of the world is prepping their closets for fall, designers and the fashion industry are attending New York Fashion Week to see what’s to come for Spring 2017.

I’m in NYC for the women’s week, which officially kicks off on Thursday and ends September 15th—though I’ve been planning my time here for months. I’m so excited to see everything the designers will be presenting and bring you guys along via my social accounts for fun fashion-related stuff. Be sure to follow along with me on Instagram and Snapchat (@thriftsnthreads) and make sure to view my Instagram Story, which you can watch by pushing on my profile photo on my Instagram profile. I promise to post as much as possible and give you an inside look at the shows I’m attending this season! If you’re wanting more, here are additional ways to see everything-NYFW:

This is a really cool option to watch fashion shows without needing an invitation or to be in New York. Many designers are live streaming their shows, and you can see which ones and watch them right here.

Snapchat and Instagram

I’ll be checking in on some of my favorite models and fashion industry VIPs for even more behind-the-scenes content:

Snapchat: Models Gigi Hadid (@itsgigihadid) and Kendall Jenner (@kendalljenner) are fun for everything from getting ready to the exclusive after parties.

Instagram: Romee Strijd, Lily Aldridge and Taylor Hill are a few of my favorite models to follow. Rihanna and long-time blogger Chiara Ferragni are great at thoroughly documenting the whole week, too.

Pinterest is perfect for searching and seeing street style once people start attending shows. You can also search NYFW hashtags on Instagram and Twitter for a curated look at what’s going down.

Read online

MBfashionweek.com is the official event site, but this is also a great one for a NYFW rundown. You’ll be able to read about the shows, who attended, which models walked, see images, and check out the collection reviews. I especially like to check the images for the beauty trends flooding the runways, which can be easy to miss as you’re staring at the clothes.

What shows are you most excited to see or hear about? P.S. Here’s a full schedule of all the shows this year.
