Disney Cruise Line | Western Caribbean 2014
We had an incredible time as a family last week on the Disney Cruise Line! It was so nice to take a break from our daily routines and have zero concept of time to just do whatever.
The ship was such a blast, each night we had dinner in a different themed restaurant and the food was so amazing. There was also never-ending gourmet cappuccino machines by the pools, so I went cray on coffee even more than usual.
Jadyn had so much fun on the AquaDuck (the main water slide on the ship) as well as the Oceaneer Club, where they had the coolest interactive rooms with organized games and supervised activities for kids… craft making, cooking classes, scavenger hunts, etc. (On our last day on the ship Anthony and I wanted to check out family Karaoke and she looked at us and said “No offense, but I really want to go to the Oceaneer Club to see my friends.” Seriously?) During her activities, we would head to one of the adult lounges with either stand-up comedy, magic shows, live music, etc.
We sailed to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay.
Castaway Cay was by far our favorite stop. We swam out to the water slide in the middle of the lagoon and there was an awesome enclosed snorkeling spot. We lounged on rafts and just enjoyed the clear water… until I got stung my a jellyfish randomly on a small section on my side. Even though that part of my body was burning for the remainder of the day- it was still so much fun.
We’re already thinking of booking another Disney Cruise for next year, it was an awesome family adventure and now we may be hooked on Disney vacays in general!
