Where To Stay In LA: Based On Your Personality Type

If you live around the Los Angeles area, or are planning on making a trip here, you're going to need a place to stay that will act as your home away from home. Anthony, Jadyn and I love to take mini staycations around LA, it's fun to stay in new hotels and explore parts of LA we normally don't visit! Below you'll find a list of some of my favorite hotels in Los Angeles! So whether you love adventure, relaxation or are all about food, you're sure to find a hotel you'll love for your next trip to Los Angeles!

THE GO GETTER

THE NOMAD HOTEL

This hotel is a beautiful mixture of modern and classical. With contemporary pieces laid out amongst the room and vintage leather headboards, you'll get the best of both worlds. The NoMad is best known for its bustling surrounding area. With the Arts District, Fashion District, Flower District, Bunker Hill, Gallery Row, South Park, and Historic Core being just five minutes away from the hotel, you'll quickly find yourself getting up and going out to see the beautiful galleries and tour architectural sites.

THE EXTROVERT

THE KINNEY HOTEL

You're social, you live out loud, and you're always where the party is at. Located in Venice Beach, this colorful and funky hotel will catch the eye of any extrovert's attention. After a dip in the heated pool, you can grab your made-to-order breakfast and hit up the beach, or make use of their trendy crash-pad suites if you're hanging with a larger group!

THE ELEGANT AND SOPHISTICATED

THE PALIHOUSE HOTEL

If you imagine yourself walking around in a silk robe and fancy slippers, then the Palihouse Hotel is for you. With it's French Riviera style, this Santa Monica Historic Landmark will make you feel like you belong in the Great Gatsby movie. Its vintage-chic style coupled with its cool-club house feel provides an elegant and sophisticated experience for any goer.

THE OUTDOORSMAN

SURFRIDER HOTEL MAILBU

The Surfrider Hotel in Malibu is for those who can't get enough of a neutral color palette, and who love to do everything outdoors -- even shower! The hotel includes surf safaris, picnics, hiking adventures and so much more! Not to mention, heated outdoor showers whenever you're ready to wash the day away, or start a new one! With its beautiful tan-colored interiors and touches of safari inspired decor, you'll feel like you're one with nature.

THE INDUSTRIAL CHIC

THE LINE HOTEL

If you're the type who not only wants to stay at a hotel that resembles your home, but also your city, then check out The Line Hotel located in Koreatown. LA is known for its chic and urban feel, which is exactly what The Line Hotel exudes. Whether you're into the nightlife scene or are devoted to doing activities during your getaways, The Line Hotel offers workshops from meditation to sushi making. Can it get any more LA than that?

THE MODEST

KIMPTON LA PEER HOTEL

West Hollywood's newest gem are for the elegant, but would never admit that they are. With its clean-cut, simple decor, you'll definitely feel like you're staying at a 5-star hotel (which it is!). With rain showers, made-to-order picnic baskets, and the ability to gaze upon the beautiful city just from your room's balcony will leave you feeling humbly like one of Hollywood's very own.

THE TRENDY AND MODERN

THE ANDAZ

The Andaz in West Hollywood is the place to stay, ideally with your significant other or friends, with so many attractions around like theaters, boutiques, restaurants, music venues, and art galleries, you won't be short of any date night ideas. This beautiful hotel opened in the 1960s, where Led Zeppelin once stayed and it has since been the setting for countless films. And what better way to watch the sunset go down than at their rooftop pool overlooking the glamorous city? But if you're not much of an outer, visit the hotel bar called The Riot Room! for cocktails and socializing.

THE DAPPER

THE MONDRIAN

Located on the Sunset strip, this hotel becomes beautiful eye-candy during sunsets. Coincidence? I think not. Excitement, invincibility and glamour are the foundations of this hotel, so if you love dressing up for any and every occasion no matter how big or small, give the Mondrian a go!

THE CREATIVE

HOTEL FIGUEROA

The Hotel Figueroa located in DTLA is the perfect place to stay for those who love abstract wallpaper and contemporary wall art. It has a mix of early California Mission style with plenty of Moroccan/Mexican exoticism. The rooms will make you feel like you're sleeping in an art gallery -- being the perfect place for creatives.

THE DOWN TO EARTH

SANTA MONICA PROPER

The Santa Monica Proper is for those who love being surrounded by the colors of nature, but can experience it in a much more elevated way. The Santa Monica Proper share similarities with its surrounding landscapes in color and texture. With burnt red walls and taupe-y beddings, you'll feel like you're in the heart of nature. And what better way to connect with nature than by taking one of their morning yoga classes?!

THE HEALTH NUT

1 HOTEL WEST HOLLYWOOD

If you intend on working out while being away, and actually following through with it, kudos to you! It's really hard to keep with our daily habits when we're not at home, but the 1 Hotel in West Hollywood makes it easy to stay on track with all of its exercise and healthy eating events! They have many yoga and meditation classes as well as a Sweat & Stretch with Performix House at the Pool Deck, and a Garden to Table Talk with The Farmista at 1 Kitchen.

THE CLASSICAL

THE PENINSULA BEVERLY HILLS

Everybody loves Beverly Hills and the The Peninsula Beverly Hills is the perfect spot to stay. Five minutes down the street from shop-til-you-drop's Rodeo Drive, this hotel is a classic...literally. It's the second Peninsula branded hotel built, right after the one in New York in 1988. This classical, yet luxurious hotel hosts afternoon tea and has an academy all of its own. Through the academy, you can take a wine country road trip in a Rolls Royce, or have an intimate one-on-one with a top Hollywood stylist! Um, yes please!
